Totally Free Speech Club
Are there things you'd like to talk about, but your social circles can't handle the truth?
Are there things you'd like to discuss, but can't find a venue brave enough to engage in conversation?
Or worse, have you ever joined a group who claims to promote free speech, then censor and ban you when you say something they don't like?
For this reason, we introduce to you Totally Free Speech Club.
Anything goes. Really. You will not be censored, you will not be asked to "tone it down." There are certain logistical rules to keep our meetings organized and to allow all voices to be heard, but there are no restrictions on your speech.
The 1st Amendment says "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech." But this does not stop private businesses, groups, churches, venues, or non-governmental establishments from making such laws.
Notice: This is a free speech club. You will be triggered. If you handle dissenting opinions by getting violent, do not come. You will be held responsible for physical damage.
Next Topic: Slavery in the United States
The two prevailing opinions on slavery in common discourse are: (1) America is an inherently racist nation because most of the founders were slaveowners and they could not have succeeded in what they did without slaves; and (2) The founders were overwhelmingly against slavery, sought to outlaw it, but just couldn't do it right away because that's just how the economic situation was at the time.
As usual with divisive topics, both are right
